Zone Tech I
Location: Atlanta, GA
Job Type: Full-time
Shift/Schedule: Variable (day, evening, night, and weekend shifts)

SUMMARY: Performs repairs and preventive maintenance of basic mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and masonry. Prepares work surfaces and areas, including the removal and application of furniture, equipment, shelving, fixtures, corner guards, corner beads, patches, and tapes. Utilizes knowledge of blueprint drawings for special tasks as required. Demonstrates understanding and application of OSHA, NFPA, GHS Corporate Compliance Policies and Procedures, DHR, and JACHO standards.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and masonry systems.
  • Prepare work surfaces by removing and applying furniture, equipment, shelving, fixtures, corner guards, corner beads, patches, and tapes.
  • Interpret blueprint drawings to perform specialized tasks when requested.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA, GHS Corporate Compliance Policies and Procedures, DHR, and JACHO standards.
  • Follow written and oral instructions and maintain a commitment to teamwork and organizational values.


Qualifications:



  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Carpentry Trade required or equivalent level of education or experience.
  • At least one (1) year of hospital experience in engineering (mechanical, carpentry, and painting) preferred.
  • Knowledge of building firewalls, smoke compartments, and other structural compartments.
  • Ability to perform mechanical repairs on faucets, sinks, showers, tubs, and other maintenance-related items.
  • Ability to interpret and follow instructions from leadership.
  • Commitment to teamwork and organizational values.
