Within HDR, our Water Business Group (WBG) stands out as a leader in providing comprehensive solutions for water-related challenges. For decades, we have been at the forefront of delivering water, wastewater, and water resources planning and design services in the North Texas/Oklahoma area. Our expertise spans process studies, master planning, asset management, treatment facility planning and design, pipeline and pumping station planning and design, as well as engineering services during construction and start-up / commissioning support.

Primary Responsibilities

Are you ready to advance your career? HDR is offering a unique opportunity for a driven Water/Wastewater Project Engineer to join our team in Oklahoma. As a key member of the North Texas/Oklahoma Water Business Group, you'll support projects across Oklahoma, support our North Texas offices on key projects, and hone your project management skills while contributing to our dynamic team.

In the role of Water/Wastewater Project Engineer, we'll count on you to:



  • Support water/wastewater projects with technical complexity
  • Collaborate with teams to produce detailed project plans and deliverables
  • Coordinate multiple projects concurrently within budget and schedule
  • Participate in project development sessions with clients and internal teams
  • Implement QA/QC procedures and execute personnel training
  • Establish and cultivate client relationships, identifying and supporting the pursuit of new business opportunities
  • Other duties as assigned


Preferred Qualifications



  • PE License in the State of Oklahoma
  • Master's degree
  • A minimum of 3 year's experience designing and creating plans and specifications for water and wastewater engineering projects

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent field
  • Previous experience designing and creating plans and specifications for water and wastewater projects
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently and with a project team to completion of a task
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
