SUMMARY

The Director of Medication Safety and Compliance is responsible for oversight and management of systematic initiatives related to medication safety and pharmacy related compliance including but not limited to: Patient safety review and classification, participation in both pharmacy and interdisciplinary RCAs and action plans. The Director serves as the system resource for medication initiatives and leading projects to promote safety and compliance. The Director is the liaison for Joint Commission Medication Management Standards and other state and national regulatory and accreditation bodies that touch pharmacy. This position reports to the Vice President of Pharmacy and Medical Nutrition Services.

QUALIFICATIONS

Eight (8) or more years of job-related experience including experience in health system pharmacy practice

Completion of a PGY-1 pharmacy residency or equitable experience (3 years) in a health system role

Licensed Pharmacist in the State of GA
