Radiology Coordinator - Nuclear Medicine / PET

Full Time

Job Description

  • Coordinates delivery of health care services to assist in diagnosis and treatment. Provides health care services and departmental efficiency in the Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT department using radioisotopes to assist diagnosis or treatment. Performs nuclear medicine and PET/CT related procedures, computer processing and related techniques, producing images for the interpretation by or at the request of a licensed independent practitioner.
  • Directs human and physical resources to achieve an established standard of care in Nuclear Medicine services.
  • Exercises professional judgment in performance of duties and maintain a demeanor complementary to medical ethics.
  • Recognizes various patient conditions in order to provide appropriate patient care to ensure successful completion of the exam or procedure.
  • Assure appropriate patient care management and adjust daily operation to meet the needs of a changing working environment.
  • Provides adequate scheduling coverage in all areas and posts schedules at least two weeks prior to end of current schedule

Requirements

  • Current American Registry Radiologic Technology (ARRT) Registry) in Radiography RT(R)/ Nuclear Medicine (CNMT).
  • Current license with the Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy
  • Current Advanced ARRT and /or CNMT Registry is required.
  • PET certification recommended upon completion of 700 hours of clinical experience
  • Working knowledge on areas to be supervised.
  • Current CPR for Healthcare Providers.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills as well as great Interpersonal skills
