Apply Keck School of Medicine Los Angeles, California The Laboratory for Childhood Cancer Research in the Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center at Keck Medical School requires an experienced laboratory technician to perform laboratory techniques on human samples (blood, plasma, tumor) derived from population-based studies of childhood cancer. The technician will be required to design and perform quantitative assays using digital PCR techniques, as well as immunoassays related to infectious disease marker measurements. Preferred experience includes working with droplet digital PCR and Luminex technology. Other laboratory procedures include working with primary human materials and laboratory robotics as well as manual procedures. The technician will need to have a demonstrated high degree of precision and accuracy when working with samples from population studies, and commit to precise record keeping. Experience with advanced molecular and genetic laboratory methods is required, and having four years experience working in a similar type of laboratory. The hourly rate range for this position is $23.21 - $26.00.
