RN Emergency Department

2nd and 3rd Shift Available, Full Time

What You'll Do:

In this role, theRN will be responsible and accountable for direct comprehensive nursing care for the patient from admission to discharge. The Registered Nurse will function as an on-shift team member providing direct patient care to meet the needs of patients, families, and co-workers.

Where You'll Be:

The Emergency Department (ED) has 41 beds divided between two pods with 37 private rooms. A split-flow area is located near main triage and provides care to lower acuity patients. Split flow varies from 5-8 patients and is run by 1-2 nurses and a mid-level provider. This fast-paced ED treats an average of 160+ patients per day. ED staff encounter a wide variety of patients including acute cardiovascular and neurovascular emergencies, general medical emergencies, traumatic injuries and psychiatric patients. The ED is recognized by the American Heart Association as both a STEMI receiving center and a designated Primary Stroke Center. New Graduate RNs are welcome.

What You Need:

  • Current Indiana or compact state RN license

  • BLS for Healthcare Provider

  • PALS required within 12 months of hire

  • ACLS required within 12 months of hire

  • NIH Stroke Scale Certification required within 10 weeks of hire
