Dr. Yong (Tiger) Zhang's laboratory of the Department of Pharmacology & Pharmaceutical Sciences at USC Mann School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences is seeking a Postdoctoral Scholar - Research Associate to conduct research on protein post-translational modifications, antibody engineering, and preclinical design of chemotherapeutic and immunotherapeutic agents to treat cancer, immune disorders, and infectious diseases.

Strong background in chemistry or chemical biology is preferred. The individual should be highly self-motivated and have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Research experience in organic synthesis or medicinal chemistry is required. Knowledge of cell culturing and protein expression and purification is a plus.

Minimum Education: Ph.D. in Chemistry or Biochemistry or related field.

Preferred Experience: Synthetic Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Sciences experience preferred.

The annual base salary range for this position is $64,480 - $66,000. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state, and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.
