Sourcing Specialist - Automation and Service - Pasadena, TX

As a Sourcing Specialist, you will be responsible for sourcing electric & pneumatic actuation, along with service-related projects for FloWorks USA LP.

The exciting things you will do in this role....

• Work directly with key internal field service stakeholders to develop and implement sourcing and cost management strategies that support valve automation & severe service products.
• Create strategic sourcing models that support business unit requirements of long lead time materials, while also maintaining demand forecasts to optimize inventory management looking multiple years ahead.
• Create replenishment strategies to reduce risk and meet targets for the purchasing department, including but not limited to payment terms, cash targets, on time delivery and cost savings.
• Responsible for advanced analysis to identify financial impacts of decisions and performance for category managed.
• Perform business process analysis and develop models to improve cost.
• Place purchase orders and coordinate all document packages required for materials.
• Resolve invoice issues and ensuring that vendors are paid on time.
• Monitors performance and capabilities of vendors to ensure maintenance of delivery, quality, and price commitments.
• Engages other department & company leaders with input in a professional manner.
• Works in compliance with established procedures and/or protocols. Identifies and resolves readily identifiable, clearly defined problems. Demonstrates skill in data analysis, techniques by resolving missing/incomplete information, inconsistencies/anomalies in routine research/data.

A must...

• Strong background in valves & valve actuation is required.
• Background in field service and repair is plus.
• Must have good communication skills, and actively interact with associated departments on a regular basis.
• Ability to analyze large amounts of data critical to job duties. Strong background in computer software including Microsoft Office and Microsoft Windows, particularly Microsoft Excel.
• Power BI or other analytical experience is a plus.

A nice to have...

• BS/BA in related discipline, or 4-5years of equivalent work experience. Certification may be required in some areas.
