Job Description: The Baptist Health Louisville Knowledge program has helped numerous individuals reach their career goals of becoming a professional in healthcare. The Knowledge Program is open to both current employees and external candidates and provides tuition funds in the form of loan forgiveness to individuals who are enrolled or accepted into an approved Paramedic program. Upon graduation students will be asked to become licensed, join Baptist Health and begin their Paramedic career. Program participants will be asked to sign an agreement and promissory note prior to disbursement of Knowledge dollars. Participants in the program must agree to work for Baptist upon graduation from their program. For every $2,500 in Knowledge Dollars the graduate will be required to work 6 months full-time to forgive the loan. Knowledge Program participants are taxed according to IRS guidelines regarding Loan Forgiveness. Once the participant begins work as a Paramedic the loan monies are taxed through installments in the payroll process.
