The Division of Geriatric, Hospital, Palliative & General Internal Medicine (GHPGIM) at the Keck School of Medicine of USC seeks exceptional Internal Medicine Hospitalists to join our division. These are unique full-time faculty positions with an emphasis on inpatient clinical practice at Keck Medical Center of USC and/or LAC+USC Medical Center. Clinical responsibilities within the Division include: Supervision and teaching of learners, including residents and medical students on the inpatient internal medicine teaching service; supervision of residents on the inpatient medicine consultation service; supervision of nurse practitioners and direct patient care on the attending-only inpatient medicine service; and direct patient co-management of select surgical patients. The Hospitalist service provides 24/7 coverage, as such, the selected applicant will be expected to work days, overnight, and some weekend shifts.Nocturnist positions are also available for those applicants seeking this type of position. In addition to their inpatient clinical and teaching responsibilities, selected applicants are expected to engage in extracurricular professional development activities such as formal teaching opportunities at the Keck School of Medicine of USC, resident didactic education, medical center committee membership, quality and safety improvement initiatives, and educational conference participation. Applicants should demonstrate a dedication to caring for a diverse, underserved patient population, a passion for teaching learners at various levels, excellent communication skills, and an enthusiasm for working in a collegial team-based environment. The annual base salary range for this position is $222,000-$225,000.
