We are seeking to build a pool of candidates for future General Maintenance Worker, USC Housing positions to join our rapidly growing team. The Opportunity: With all of the space needed to house over 9,000 Trojans, we need a General Maintenance Worker to monitor our facilities and ensure that we maintain our high standards of excellence. As an expert in all forms of repairs, you will examine and repair our facilities, as needed. You will use your expertise to communicate with management and outside vendors, as well to train other workers. Most of all, your focus on customer service will demonstrate to our students, faculty, and staff that we put their needs first! The Accountabilities:

When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state, and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations. Minimum Education: Specialized or technical training. Combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education. Minimum Experience: 6 - 12 month. Minimum Field of Expertise: Knowledge of thermodynamic laws, refrigerator cycles, electricity principles, test/detection instruments, hand/power tools, wood finishing, AC/DC currents, wiring, painting, construction and plumbing. Valid CA driver's license required. Position will participate in the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) Pull Notice System. A copy of DMV record will be required as a final condition of employment.
