Apply Keck School of Medicine Los Angeles, California The Laboratory of Immunoregulation in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine seeks a Research Laboratory Technician II position to join its multi-disciplinary research group. The research technician II position will provide general laboratory assistance to support research projects to understand peptidic effectors of mammalian innate immunity and drug development in the treatment of infectious diseases. The research technician will perform assignments that are non-routine and vary in complexity with minimal direction including handling panels of multi-drug resistant bacteria or fungi. This position will require rodent animal handling and may require occasional flexible work hours depending on the demands of the experimental protocols and processing timelines. Responsibilities:
Shift: Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 5:00 pm This is a Grant Funded Position Hourly range: The hourly rate range for this position is $24.23 - $30.32 When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations. Minimum Education: Associate's degree, Specialized/technical training, Combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences Minimum Experience: 2 years Minimum Field of Expertise: Working knowledge of laboratory equipment and research protocols. Knowledge of computer analysis techniques and ability to provide routine analysis and interpretation of research data.
