Job Description	ECU Department of Joyner Library: Special Collections Division is currently seeking an Undergraduate Special Collections Assistant to carry out the following duties: Evaluate materials Do project management Process manuscript collections by writing descriptions for their finding aids, and by surveying and inventorying their contents. Shelve manuscript boxes and books Miscellaneous duties such as photocopying, scanning, supply inventory, and the recycling of material may be required as needed. The successful candidate must be able to work with minimum supervision, be detail-oriented, have clear communication skills, be responsible, and follow exact procedures. Additional training for the job will be provided. Students who are allergic to dust and mold should not apply.
Preferred (Majors, Experience, GPA, etc.)	The ability to lift 25-pound boxes is necessary. Basic knowledge of Word and Excel is required. Basic knowledge of the Library of Congress Classification System is preferable. Being able to work both the fall and spring semesters is preferred.
