Graduate Research Assistantship

ECU Department of Criminal Justice is seeking graduate students for Research Assistantships
Duties:
Complete faculty research requests (e.g., literature searches and reviews, data entry, data analysis)

Professional demeanor when communicating with faculty and staff

Ensure sensitive data is kept secure and confidential

Other duties as assigned

* ECU graduate student enrolled full-time in a master's degree program for the 2024-2025 academic year (three courses each semester)

* Continued enrollment with a 3.0 GPA or higher

* Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential data and information

* Demonstrated ability to work independently

* Demonstrated communication, organizational, and computer skills

* Familiarity with criminal justice and criminology organizations, data, and literature preferred

* Enrollment in a social sciences graduate program preferred

The GRA will work 20 hours a week. Expected work dates during Fall 2024 are August 19, 2024 - December 2, 2024 (excludes student-observed holidays). Expected work dates during Spring 2025 are January 13, 2025 - April 29, 2025 (excludes student-observed holidays). The GRA should be available during business hours during the week to facilitate faculty and student requests. Specific weekly schedule TBD upon hire.
