Job Description: Summary: Barr is seeking a senior-level water and wastewater engineer to join one of its offices. This person will undertake challenging and progressive work focused on water and wastewater supply and distribution systems, collection, reuse, and treatment facilities for both industrial and municipal clients. This candidate may also have a role in day-to-day client service and business development. Project responsibilities may include working as an individual or leading project teams to assist our clients with evaluation, planning, and implementation of water, wastewater, and reuse system operations to address current and future goals including:
Typical business-development activities will include building and maintaining client relationships, tracking marketing leads and project opportunities, developing proposals and presentations, networking, participating in industry associations, and sharing Barr's capabilities with existing and potential clients. Additionally, the selected candidate may lead client and regulatory negotiations and mentor junior staff. This job may require occasional out-of-town travel. Minimum Qualifications:

A hybrid work arrangement may be considered for this position. A hybrid work arrangement refers to splitting time worked between a Barr office and a home office. This position can be based out of Barr's Ann Arbor or Grand Rapids, Michigan; Duluth, Hibbing, or Minneapolis, Minnesota; Jefferson City, Missouri; Salt Lake City, Utah; or Bismarck, North Dakota, offices. NOTE: Some work locations may feature rough terrain typical of construction sites and may also require entering and working in facilities that include limited accessibility, moving machinery, and other conditions typical of industrial facilities. Job assignments may involve work on waste disposal sites and sites requiring cleanup of hazardous materials. An OSHA-mandated physical exam may be required. Safety training will be provided.
