Job Description:

RN-Cath-Lab-Full-Time

• Assists team preparing the lab for procedures, as well as preparing the patient for procedure. Administers medication per physician during procedures and monitors the patients' status.
• Assists scrub person/physician with periphery equipment, such as setting up IABP, IVUS, and maintaining sterility while handing off sterile supplies.
• Cross trains with other lab personnel. Other duties, as assigned.
• Has adequate knowledge to approach adults, and geriatric patients for the purpose of required patient care abilities with techniques appropriate to the individual's chronological, emotional, cognitive and physical maturation level.
• All employees will continually monitor and adhere to safety responsibilities and initiatives.

I. Minimum Education, Training, and Experience Required

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
• Current RN license in the state of Kentucky or Kentucky work permit.
• Must have at least 1 year in critical care, cardiac Cath, and/or peripheral procedures
• Certifications based on the unit worked:
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • 12 Lead EKG
