5F is an Observation Unit with 29 telemetry beds. We care for Observation/Short Stay populations from the Emergency Department, Cath Lab, and PACU.The environment is fast paced, and you will care for a diverse patient population where quality care is our top priority.5F includes a supportive team committed to treating all with integrity, respect, and compassion.This is the perfect unit for new graduates and experienced nurses seeking a practice change.

Shift: Full-time, Nights

Job Description:

• The Registered Nurse implements professional nursing practice centered on the patient as awhole person and the creation of a caring environment focused on healing and wellness.

• As a clinical nurse, this individual spends majority of his/hertime (> 50%) coordinating, ensuring, and providing direct patient care activities on the unit through: provisionof nursing rounds, assessments, and treatments; facilitating admission, transfer, and discharge activities;provision of patient and family-centered education; care coordination and individualized treatment planning asapplicable, etc.

Minimum Education, Experience, Training and Licensures Required:

• Current RN licensure or work permit in Kentucky.

• Bachelor's or an associate degree in nursing from an accredited college/university.

• Those with an associate degree in nursing and less than 10 years of experience must enroll within 12 months of hire in a bachelor's degree program and musthave achieved the degree within 5 years.

• Basic life support

• ACLS/PALS/NRP and successful completion of dysrhythmia class as required by department of Assignment.
