Dentist (737503) Part Time

Our Job Corps programs provide life-changing services that help young people succeed in school, obtain good jobs, excel in their chosen fields, and serve as contributing members of their communities. We accomplish this through an intense commitment to safety, quality service, excellence, and partnerships.

• Detects and diagnose oral health problems in its early stages
• Provides basic oral health care
• Develops treatment plans to deal with dental health issues
• Interacts with patients and instruct them on proper oral care
• Educates patients on the importance of the relationship between oral health and employability
• Comfortable working with adolescents
• Other duties as assigned

• Degree in Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) or Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) from a school approved by the Council on Dental Education, American Dental Association (ADA); Other dental schools are acceptable provided the education and knowledge acquired was substantially equivalent to that of graduates from an ADA-approved school
• Unrestricted Licensed to practice dentistry in Texas
• Working knowledge of general dentistry
• Preferred-high comfort level in extracting third molars
