Performs care requiring substantial specialized knowledge, judgement and nursing skills based upon the principles of psychological, biological, physical and social sciences in the application of the nursing process. Utilizes high-level assessment skills to design and ensure multidisciplinary patient care to meet holistic needs, incorporating established practice guidelines and regulatory standards. Must possess ability to supervise LPNs, CNAs, Techs, Unit Secretaries, and Clinical students. All employees will continually monitor and adhere to safety responsibilities and initiatives. Ability to identify the scope of practice issues, prioritization, critical thinking, effective decision making, communication, interpersonal relationship skills, delegation and team leading skills consistent with the level of professional growth. Adheres to specific hospital policy and procedures.
Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited school of
Nursing Current RN license in the state of Kentucky or Kentucky work permit. Certifications based on the unit worked:
- BLS
- ACLS
- BCA
- LTA
- 12 Lead EKG
- Patient Deterioration
- NIH Stroke
