CDI Engineering Solutions is a multi-disciplinary engineering organization offering a full range of integrated engineering design, project support, procurement and construction management services to the energy and chemicals industries.



Position Summary

Process Engineer to support our customer on-site at their facility in process areas that are still in development, requiring close coordination with the client process team. Reports to the client project manager on a daily, ongoing basis.



Responsibilities

Support development of project estimates.

Coordinate with client project/process engineer on daily ongoing basis.

Define OSBL requirements.

Document assumptions:

Sizing

HSE issues

Develop PFDs.

Develop H&M Balances.

Preliminary P&IDs.

Support other disciplines:

GA/layout

Instrumentation

Support equipment process data sheets

Coordinate with CDI Engineering staff:

Support estimating needs

Supply design information



Qualifications

Process engineering experience in manufacturing or petrochemical operations, with a strong understanding of production processes, economic drivers, application of fundamental engineering, and operational practices.

Relevant capital project development or process design experience.

Experience working with Process Hazard Analysis (PHA).

Experience with process safety design, industry standards and best practices.

Experience with process safety design, industry standards and best practices.

Experience developing H&M Balances.

Experience with Management of Change (MOC) work process.

Experience of relevant codes/industry standards and best practices for process/design engineering.

Effective communication skills - both verbal and written.

Must possess model interpersonal and professional behaviors.



Education Requirements

Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering (or equivalent) is required.
