All About You Job description A postdoctoral position is available immediately in the laboratory of Dr. Amina Mohammadalipour at Saint Louis University, St. Louis, MO. Alipour lab combines biophysics, mechanobiology, structural biology, membrane proteins, and genetics to understand the fundamental mechanisms underlying cancer cells' rheological properties. Past experiences with cell culture, flow cytometry, fluorescence microscopy, and live imaging are required. Experiences in micropipette aspiration, AFM, flow chambers/microfluidic devices, Western blotting, and PCR are preferred but not required. Responsibilities * Perform experiments and manage their projects efficiently, culminating in first-author publications * Execute laboratory protocols with high precision and accuracy * Develop proficiency in career skills, including scientific writing, presenting at conferences, and critical evaluation of scientific literature * Assist with training students and staff * Assist with managing the lab, maintaining lab inventory, and placing lab orders * Assist with grant preparation and writing reports * Adheres to all applicable university policies, procedures, and regulations Qualifications Ph.D. degree in biophysics, biomedical engineering, biology, or a related field. Salary Range Base pay is commensurate with experience.
