Position Summary

CDI is currently recruiting for a Chemical Engineer to work at our client site in Baton Rouge, LA. This individual will design, install and maintain mechanical equipment. Provide engineering principles, expertise and technical assistance to maintenance supervisor. Review, track and resolve Audit and PM deficiencies. Have the ability to work independently and with others.



Responsibilities

The engineer will work on different projects such as replacement in kind, painting, Fireproofing or as assigned by the manager.

Will review project turnover from expansion projects and help establish and organize equipment files.

Develop piping isometrics per PM inspection reports for entire BR facility.

Assist with developing procedures.

Assist with Mechanical Integrity Audits.

Issue PR's and bid packages.

Evaluate Bids and route for approval.

Assist with turnarounds.

Perform special assignments per management request.

Assist Unit Engineers, Supervisors and Project PIC's for ongoing projects.



Qualifications

Must be bilingual fluent in Mandarin and English.

Mechanical Engineering Degree.

Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedure, and government regulations.

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and manuals.

Ability to work with others and help address issues, solve practical issues.

Gather and analyze data.

Be willing to chase projects and follow-up in the field.

Computer Literacy required.

Documentation.

Project Handling and Execution.
