Job Information:

Job Summary:

Performs and documents preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical, electronic, and mechanical patient care equipment. Provides safe and properly functioning clinical equipment systems and electronic instrumentation in a cost-effective manner.

Position Responsibilities:

Inspects, trouble-shoots and repairs patient care and lab equipment, clinical systems and electronic equipment. May install and inventory biomedical equipment.

Ensures proper documentation of repairs and preventive maintenance activities. Maintains equipment records. Completes work orders documenting completion and outcomes.

Attends training as needed.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Experience:

0-3 years of Biomedical experience or general healthcare facility experience. If no prior experience, willing to learn on the job from more senior technicians and attend Biomed training assigned by manager. May have life-support equipment experience.

Required Education:

High school diploma or equivalent. Associate degree in biomedical engineering preferred.

Training /Certification /Licensure:

Valid driver's license required for travel between sites.
