Job DescriptionThe Visual Media Specialist will produce and edit video content for internal and external constituents on all media platforms.

Essential Functions:

  • Employee will demonstrate TSTC Core values of Excellence, Accountability, Service and Integrity with internal and external stakeholders, customers, students and members of the community.

  • Support the leadership and direction of the Executive Director of Visual Communication & other TSTC administration.

  • Produce and edit high quality videos and still imagery photography for various forms of media including (but not limited to) banners, events, testimonials, presentations, website, etc. Must understand all aspects of production from development through final edits.

  • Operate various types of equipment including but not limited to cinematic cameras, digital still cameras, lighting and audio equipment.

  • Ensuring brand identity, messaging, and quality is consistent across all deliverables

  • Stay updated on latest trends and equipment needed to maintain effective, high level production quality.

  • Must be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite applications (MAC OS.)

  • Assist with copy editing, photography and videography.

  • Maintain projects in Workzone project management system providing updates as needed or requested.

  • Other duties as assigned

Education:

  • Associate's degree or higher in Broadcasting, Film, Digital Media, Journalism or related major. Highly qualified experience also considered.

Experience:

  • 5 years of experience producing proven quality work.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to set up, test, operate and troubleshoot equipment interfacing with various levels of end users.
  • Experience with Videography/Production.
  • Experience with Photography
  • Experience with Publications/Print Media.
  • Proficient Expert with Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience with Social Media and Marketing.
  • Self-Starter who works efficiently.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Work well with others, and contributes to a positive team environment.

Education/Experience/Knowledge/Skills
* Associate's Degree, Bachelor's degree preferred in Film, Marketing, or a related field
* Highly qualified experience in broadcasting, Film, Digital Media, or a related field may also be considered in lieu of educational requirements.
* 5 years proven experience in areas such as documentaries, television, or movie production
* Strong understanding of cinematography principles, lighting techniques, and audio production
* Ability to set up, test, operate, and troubleshoot equipment
* Familiarity with storytelling and visual communication skills
* Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
* Experience with photography, publications/print media/graphic design
* Proficient Expert with Adobe Creative Suite
* Experience with social media and marketing, strategic communications, advertising/promotions
* Experience with supervision on set
* Project/Campaign Management
