Job Description:
The academic instructor is responsible for performing all aspects of instruction for assigned courses to include, but not be limited to, implementing, revising, and evaluating assigned curriculum; utilizing all resources available to innovate and to change to meet evolving program and industry needs. The academic instructor provides up -to-date skills training instruction to meet the learning needs of students.
This position will begin Fall 2024. Essential Functions Employee will demonstrate TSTC Core values of Excellence, Accountability, Service and INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGN & ASSESSMENT: Develop revise, and continually update a INSTRUCTIONAL DELIVERY: Prepare and deliver high quality instruction and facilitate INSTRUCTIONAL MANAGEMENT: Fulfill assigned schedule, maintain accurate student STUDENT SUCCESS (Retention & Placement): Performs student advisement such that PROGRAM RECRUITMENT & PROMOTION: Participate in related tours and recruitment Demonstrate a willingness to be of service and exhibits pleasant and courteous behavior Support all three product lines of TSTC (For credit programs, Non-credit/Workforce Training, and Dual Enrollment.) Other duties as assigned Education/Experience/Knowledge/Skills Master's degree with 18 graduate hours in teaching discipline required Three years of teaching in the discipline preferred. Demonstrate competency with use of technology that supports learning and teaching; Maintains flexibility, including availability for evening, weekend, or summer assignment, as appropriate; Able to work effectively in a team environment; commitment to the mission, Required Skills, knowledge, and certifications or license
