Substation Engineer

Our Power Delivery group is seeking Substation Engineers. In this role, you will have the opportunity to participate and contribute toward complex projects in both a design and project capacity while working on challenging and exciting low to high voltage substation engineering projects. • Develop electric substation drawings, including single line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams and physical drawings, such as plan views, elevation views, control panel layouts, control building layouts
• May perform substation design calculations and analysis such as ground grid analysis and design, lightning protection, voltage drop, DC battery, and AC station service sizing, CT saturation, protection, and coordination
• Work closely with the electrical analysis group to determine protective relaying settings
• Develop technical equipment and construction specifications and work scopes
• Work closely with peers to ensure accurate and on-time delivery of electrical design that will meet client and industry standards and specifications while ensuring good engineering practices
• Provide on-site technical support for select ENERCON clients during construction and commissioning as required

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in engineering and design specific to the substation field
• Experience with Microstation and AutoCad
• Proficient with typical office software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and Windows
• Must be self-driven to organize time to follow schedules, meet deadlines, and provide accurate deliverables
• Must be willing to learn new skills on the job with assistance from the Senior Engineer, Supervisor, and others in the department
