STV is seeking a Vice President, Cities Initiative Leader, STV Centers of Excellence for our transportation planning group in our Washington, D.C. office.

This position will be responsible for maximizing intergovernmental relationships in relevant markets to both solidify STV as a sought-out advisor and identify growth opportunities. Focus on municipal market growth opportunities leveraging STV's full range of services.A collaboration between the CoE and Buildings groups with support across STV regions. Target clients are cities, counties, MPOs, and special purpose authorities/districts. Target markets are medium to large cities with resources and capability for sophisticated transportation, facilities, and services planning.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Act as a client "ambassador" to grow and re-build impactful opportunities for internal/external engagement and partnerships.
  • Participate in mentorship and internal skill development of professional staff in policy, management consulting and leadership succession. Lead and design internal convenings to challenge the status quo and inspire creativity and change.
  • Support Economics/Grants practice with alignment map that operationalizes engagement with local and state elected/appointed officials that further funding strategy, partnership development, transportation planning, community/external engagement, and project delivery.
  • Program Management support for organizational and technical resource alignment
  • Initiate and support policy initiatives at the local and state level to impact project opportunities and implementation.
  • Advise internal leadership on new business in the municipal/city market and collaborate in the development of strategies to ensure successful growth.
  • State and local intergovernmental relations and agency capacity & project delivery

Compensation Range:

$186,449.00 - $248,599.00
