Position Overview
Essential Job Duties |
This job is for a research assistant position working on the modeling, design, fabrication and characterization of: * EM transparent or absorbent materials * engineered EM structures (metamaterials, frequency selective surfaces) * wireless antenna design for remote sensing * conformal microwave devices
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities include: * perform hands-on experiments * Publish scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals * Lab maintenance, including equipment setup, maintenance, organization, and ordering of supplies as needed |

GPA>3.7 for BS degree. Candidate should have a strong background in: * EM and antenna theory * good hands-on experiment capability * Prior experience in RF theory and antenna design * wireless/RF communication, antenna design, radio frequency (RF) testing, metamaterial design * Software such as
HFSS * Experience with RF lab equipment, such as power meters, spectrum analyzers, vector signal generators/analyzers, and oscilloscope |
