What you'll do:

The position of CIP/KYC Specialist is a part of the Financial Crimes Compliance (FCC) Department and reports up through the EDD/KYC Operations Group. Specialists are responsible for reviewing and processing various CIP and KYC requests received through the FCC EDD Mailbox as well as various CIP/KYC onboarding related assignments in support of the Bank's initiatives and BSA/AML/KYC policies and procedures. The CIP/KYC Specialist will use various resources in their review, including internal bank system, various risk rating systems as well as external investigative tools.

What we are looking for:

Responsibilities:

  • Daily review of incoming CIP/KYC exception requests and the timely response, escalation and/or resolution within the notated SLA.
  • Identify and review bank customers to determine eligibility for procedural exceptions and escalate as appropriate.
  • Adhere to bank policy, procedure and regulatory requirements and to maintain a strict level of confidentiality
  • Assist with various bank initiatives including new line of business and product launches
  • Work in a team oriented and collaborative environment to ensure overall unit goals and deadlines are met
  • Establish working relationships with key business partners across all lines of business
  • Provide support and guidance to bank's operational areas and assist with implementation of BSA related programs for the bank
  • Assist with special projects and data gathering for audit and/or regulatory purposes
  • Assist with internal audit and federal regulatory examinations
  • Assist with additional projects as assigned

Qualifications

  • 2+ years experience with Audit, financial investigations, or the broader banking industry
  • Associates Degree (AA) preferred OR High School Diploma/GED
  • CAMS Certification preferred
  • Experience with Bank Secrecy Act Compliance
  • Familiarity and understanding of CIP, CDD, KYC, EDD and USA PATRIOT ACT
  • Knowledge of bank products including deposit, lending, ACH, ATM, RDC and correspondent banking
  • Ability to meet regulatory deadlines with a sense of urgency while maintaining a high level of professionalism
  • Knowledge of bank system software and/or imaging systems a plus
