Position Description

We're hiring a Quality Engineer at our Jefferson City, MO location supporting our Air Cooled Applications vertical. Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Quality Engineer will work closely with Operations and Engineering in creating a quality product for our customers. This role will take care of supplier, production, and customer issues. The QE will conduct PPAPs and APQPs, answer any corrective actions, maintaining our customer portals, and follow up on items. In addition, the QE will review non-conformance trends and make corrective actions as necessary. This is a fully onsite position during our day-shift, Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitating implementation and auditing ISO 9000,IATF-16949, and quality system requirements
  • Conduct internal audits of products, processes, and systems, identify and follow-up on areas for improvement, and assist with the implementation and follow-up of corrective action.
  • Support activity to define and share status of key performance indicators and lead/participate in process improvement and problem solving.
  • Addressing quality issues for suppliers, production, and customers
  • Control Plan development
  • Utilizing lean and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Working cross-functionally with Operations and Engineering
Required Education & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline is required for this position
  • 1-3+ years of quality engineeringexperience in a manufacturing environment
  • Basic knowledge and work experienceon core tools: FMEA, APQP, MSA, QSA. AIAG certification is a plus.
  • Experience with quality tools: Pareto, cause and effect, flow charts, control charts, check sheets, scatter diagrams, histograms
  • Workingknowledgein statistical methods: SPC, process capability indexes
  • Basic knowledgeMetrologyanddesirable experience on Measurement System Analysis (GR&R)
  • Working knowledgeproblem-solving tools: 8D, PDCA, Six Sigma, DMAIC, etc.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Solid skillset in project management, communication, and problem-solving
  • Self-motivated and driven to obtain results
  • Continuous-improvement mindset
