Position Description Cell Set Up Operate Operate the Amada laser cutting machine and other machinery used in the sheet metal department or assist other machine operators. Select and set up lenses based on material type and thickness, load programs and set machine parameters to ensure optimal performance of the equipment. Knowledge about nozzles used during laser cutting operation. Knowledge nesting software and maximizing sheet utilization (Radan Software experience preferred) Monitor fill level of bulk tank system and report reordering levels to the supervisor. Keep work area clean and organized. Key Responsibilities Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task. Follow all company rules and policies. Follow all safety rules and quality standards. Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency. Assemble items as instructed by shift leader or floor supervisor. Prepare sheet metal for delivery to brake press operators Lift raw materials, final products, and items prepped for shipment, manually, or using overhead crane and forklift. Operate machinery used in the production process or assist machine operators. Experience cycle counting sheet metal Maintain a strict preventive maintenance program Required Education & Qualifications Production experience in a make-to-order assembly role is preferred. This includes the ability to read and interpret prints, wiring diagrams, assembly checks and CAD models in order to meet production specifications. Modine is an equal opportunity employer.
