NC State University launched the
Juntos Program in 2007, with a plan to provide high school Latino students and their families with the knowledge, skills, and resources to ensure high school graduation and increase college access and attendance rates.
Essential Job Duties:
- Assist in the planning of the Juntos Summer Academy at NC State University, with a focus on co-facilitating a project with University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill (UNC) Staff for students interested in Climate Resilience. Youth from five NC Counties attend to have a residential college experience. Majority of youth would be first generation college students.
- Travel and assist with the implementation of the YES project throughout NC counties when required.
- Effectively communicate with/between the UNC group and Juntos leadership.
- Support Juntos leadership with grant management and reports.
- Support Juntos leadership with translation and interpretation.
- Support Juntos leadership with major projects that come up during the school year.

Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education |
Experience working in environmental science, healthcare field, or science education.
- Experience working with Latino families and youth
- Experience and interest in the STEM fields
- Experienced or interested in working in the secondary education system, non-profits, and/or higher-education
- A commitment to excellence and the ability to work effectively as a team member
- Self-starter with a dynamic, out-going personality
