Position Overview


Essential Job Duties
Post doctoral position in biomedical ultrasound. Lung nodule imaging for surgery guiding.
In collaboration with leading experts in the field, you will be at the forefront of developing groundbreaking ultrasound-based real-time methods for detecting and precisely localizing lung nodules, to guide nodule resection surgery. Your research will play a pivotal role in advancing the capabilities of surgical interventions, enhancing patient outcomes, and increasing chance of cure.
Duties and Responsibilities
Investigate and innovate ultrasound imaging techniques using ultrasound multiple scattering as a source of contrast, to accurately detect and localize lung nodules in real-time. * Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams of surgeons, engineers, and roboticists to develop state-of-the-art technological solutions. * Conduct experimental evaluations, data analysis, and algorithm development to ensure the reliability and effectiveness of the proposed methods. * Publish research findings in high-impact journals and present at conferences to contribute to the scientific community's knowledge.

Work Schedule Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm
Department Required Skills
Ph.D. or equivalent doctorate no more than five (5) years prior to the appointment.
Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education
* A recent Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering, Medical Imaging, Physics, Ultrasound or a related field. * Strong background in medical imaging, signal processing, and image analysis. * Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, MATLAB, or similar. GPU programming is a plus. * Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic research environment. * Prior experience with robotics is a plus.
