SUMMARY

A Cycle Counter is a critical role in this function by verifying the count of all our inventory in all our locations. This team also leads in the preparation of planed facility wide inventory counts as well as conducting re-counts when necessary. Members of this team can and will also be assigned to temporary tasks in support of Inventory projects or priorities as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operator PIT equipment to count/handle inventory including a Picker, sit down and stand up Forklift, Turret Truck, and Reach Truck as needed
  • Conduct blind counts or recounts in an inventory location by verifying the correct part number, unit of measure, and completing accurate counts
  • Identify bulk parts and count utilizing unit weight and a scale to determine overall count
  • Utilize an RF Handheld to count, move, consolidate, and any other operation to handle inventory
  • Assist Team Lead, Supervisor, and Manager with additional projects and tasks assigned to the department
  • Execute daily 5S avidities to ensure a clean and safe work environment
  • Remove any trash, debris, or excess packing material from the location you are conducting a count in
  • Take personal ownership of all equipment needed for the job and ensure the return of that equipment to the correct tool cabinet daily
  • Complete all work, tasks, or projects, assigned to you by your Team Lead or Supervisor in a timely manner

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Must be available to work assigned schedule, overtime and weekends when needed
  • Must be able to conduct yourself in a professional manner that reflects the principles of Teamship
  • Must be a team player, flexible, and motivated with initiative and discipline to work with limited supervision
  • Must be able to demonstrate strong abilities when utilizing a computer, whether a desktop, laptop, or handheld

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Prior warehouse experience

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Must be able to routinely lift packages 35 lbs. or less on a consistent basis
  • Must be able to team lift any package greater than 35 lbs. but less than 71 lbs.
  • Must be able to handle repetitive movements like pushing, pulling, bending down and lifting of packages/totes/materials.
  • Must be able to manually move packages from one place to another. Whether it be from equipment to conveyor, from pack table to pallet, or from one side of the business to another.
  • Must be able to spend long periods of time on your feet (8-10 hours)
