DESCRIPTION Decypher is seeking a Clinical Psychologist to support the contract at David Grant Medical Center, Travis AFB, CA. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Attend and participate in meetings during normal duty hours and professional staff conferences and other appropriate professional activities.
- Conduct applied research and clinical investigations in clinical/behavioral health Psychology.
- Clinical/Counseling Psychology: Responsible for and applies psychological procedures and techniques, including interviewing, behavioral assessments, evidence-based therapies, and psychological testing/psych diagnostic testing, in the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of psychological and neuropsychological disorders.
- Individual, family and group psychotherapy, and couples therapy, alcohol and drug treatment evaluations.
- Consults with medical personnel, legal authorities, military commanders and school districts, as required.
- Maintain accurate and current notes in both the Mental Health records and inpatient medical records of all patients seen, as appropriate, and produces reports of evaluation and/or treatment, as required.
- Participates in military specific training (e.g., training to perform Command Directed Evaluations, security clearances, Military Training Instructors clearances, pre-post deployment screening, PTSD, and combat stress).
- Expected to see 5 to 8 patients per day.
- Possible telework at the Flt/CC discretion.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree/Education: Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or Doctor of Psychology (PsD). Graduate from an American Psychology Association-accredited college or university with a doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology.
- Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a psychologist in any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico or US Virginia Islands.
- Experience: As Required to meet competency requirements specified in the Service-specific credentialing instructions. Must have experience in brief interventions.
