We're hiring a Production Manager to join our growing team at the Molex Busbar facility located in Monee, IL.

A Production Manager is first and foremost a developer and leader of people. They motivate, coach, and inspire by demonstrating, promoting, and applying our Principle Based Management (PBM) principles in daily actions and decisions to deliver maximum value to the business and our customers. A Production Manager is also a strategic thinker who identifies opportunities for improvements within our production processes.

In this role you will lead production operations across our two-shift operation and must be on-call as needed and available to work occasional nights and weekends.

This is a 1st shift opening.

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Lead, coach, and develop teams to drive a high-performance culture that accommodates rapid and dynamic growth and results in Operational Excellence, employee engagement and personal accountability.
  • Drive proper planning, directing, and coordinating of the manufacturing of products to meet or exceed company goals and objectives for safety, quality, delivery, and productivity. Effectively communicate expectations and priorities.
  • Identify, recommend, and implement changes to improve productivity and reduce cost and scrap, monitor scrap and rework data. Direct the establishment, implementation, and maintenance of production standards.
  • Leverage manufacturing systems and data analysis tools to identify risks, opportunities, and countermeasures.
  • Apply knowledge of innovative technology available, industry trends, and development to improve the operation.
  • Function as a customer contact on quality and delivery issues outside the routine scope of the customer service reps.

    The Experience You Will Bring

    • Experience leading, coaching, and developing a team in an industrial, manufacturing, or military environment
    • Direct management of transformation and continuous improvement initiatives
    • Experience working in an ERP system and analyzing production data to identify risks and opportunities and foster continuous improvement
    • Demonstrated ability to rapidly build strong relationships with internal and external customers

    What Will Put You Ahead

    • Practical application of Operational Excellence principles
    • Experience with manufacturing using robotics and/or automated systems
    • Experience in a metal fabrication facility
    • Experience working in an ISO 9001 or IATF 16949 facility
    • Experience with MieTrak
