As a System Architect, you will play a pivotal role in leading innovative and robust enterprise technology solutions that enable our business transformation strategy. Your expertise will help shape the future of communication networks, services, and platforms while ensuring alignment with business goals and industry best practices. The Systems Architect (SA) primarily focuses on the architecture of specific systems. This involves designing, maintaining, and updating the architecture based on organizational needs and technological advancements. SA is also directly involved in enterprise technology initiatives, taking up a role to adapt and align the systems architecture to support specific business initiative. The SA is responsible for a few systems and manage and architect solutions for particular systems within the organization Key Responsibilities: Maintain up-to-date documentation of all business services and how they pair and interact with their corresponding systems and applications Create Architectural Models for systems, caring for the technology, organization and processes that enable the system.
Develop comprehensive, dynamic architecture roadmaps for each business system. Create project recommendations to improve high priority services. Partner with business service owners and business architects to provide detailed understanding of how new initiatives will affect existing systems, processes, people, technology, business services and ongoing initiatives Identify risks that may impact system architecture, initiatives, and roadmaps. Assess feasibility and viability of the initiatives by assessing change impact of initiatives on the business services, technology and application landscape using existing Enterprise Architecture models Elaborate high-level use cases to be used by business architects/product managers for further detailing Develop comprehensive plans that cover architecture level design aspects of the initiative's implementation to provide the blueprint for scrum teams Model the integration architecture to be scalable and adaptable to future changes in business processes or technology Assist implementation team by providing clarity on architectural thoughts of the initiative Support the impacts and scope changes identified from initiative teams during the implementation phase Evaluate and adjust the initiative architectural documentation to account for drift or scope changes during the implementation. Identify and document both functional and nonfunctional requirements essential for the initiative Ensure implementation partners are aligned with the architectural strategy Collaborate with infrastructure,, data architects, security architects and other domain architects to implement aligns to technology policy.
Qualifications and Skills:
Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or other related field plus seven (7) years of related experience architecting & designing large enterprise application solutions; OR eleven (11) years of direct related experience required with High school diploma or GED. Communications industry experience is a bonus. Experience with an architecture framework. TOGAF is preferred. Experience working with TMForum architecture for communications industry Firm understanding of full application development lifecycle. Proven track record eliciting business requirements and process modeling and delivering architectural solutions Strong leadership skills with an ability to influence other decision makers Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills. Effective communication and interpersonal abilities, with experience in presenting complex technical concepts to various audiences. Experience with architecture applications and modeling. Archimate, LeanIX or similar tools. Experience with multiple cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP. Integrations between cloud platforms and a hybrid cloud environment Governance, best practice, and guidance creation for implementation of cloud services Strong understanding of networking fundamentals such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs, etc. Experience designing and implementing large corporate or customer networks. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation and CDK, Azure Resource Manager
