Where You Will Work

You will join a specialized team within our global R&D organization focused on the innovation and enablement of science and optimization within our industry-leading supply chain solutions. Our R&D team is the heart of Manhattan Associates' product portfolio, designing the future of our products to stay ahead of the competition. What Will You Do

Some of the things you will do in this role:

  • Responsible for comprehensive algorithm modeling: from research and design conception through proof-of-concept solution benchmarking, testing, delivery, and ongoing solution support and enhancements.
  • Model complex systems within the context of Supply Chain Management, especially with respect to Supply Chain Planning and it's cross-functional integration with our Supply Chain Execution systems. Focus areas will be - but not limited to - inventory planning and allocation, demand planning, replenishment, omni-channel fulfillment, and network inventory optimization. You will have the opportunity to contribute across our entire portfolio.
  • Serve as a demand planning and inventory optimization expert, thought leader, and mentor.
  • Collaborate with product leaders to identify opportunities, influence product vision, and analyze business problems and requirements to translate them into robust, comprehensive algorithmic and scientific solution designs.
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative analyses and modeling of complex operational and management problems using techniques such as advanced analytics, mathematical modeling, mathematical programming, heuristics/meta-heuristics, network analysis, data mining, predictive modeling, machine learning, and/or simulation.
  • Engage directly with customers to understand their business problems while collaborating with product leaders, product development & services teams, and fellow scientists.

What You Need

  • PhD in operations research, computer science, industrial engineering, or a related technical field specializing in Supply Chain Planning and/or Inventory Management, Order Management, Transportation/Logistics, and Warehouse Management. Research experience in multiple areas is highly preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge and experience in optimization, robust algorithmic modeling, statistics, and simulation.
  • Solid working knowledge in data science and machine learning
  • Very strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and presentation skills.
