The Senior Business Systems Analyst role is to gather and analyze requirements in support of ETS strategic initiatives.This role promotes clear understanding of business processes and systems across all levels of the organization and requires the application of communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help maximize the benefit of IT system investments. This includes gathering and analyzing requirements in support of business cases, proposed process enhancements, and systems requirements. This role will generate and present results from analyses to quantify the benefit of IT system investments with proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Meet with decision makers, platform and process owners, and end users to document business, functional and technical requirements for new or enhanced ETS processes
  • Must have solid business systems analysis and data process mapping skills
  • Make recommendations to management as assigned for process adoption or adherence by utilizing data, analysis and insights
  • Create process flows, specifications, diagrams, and charts to guide ETS teams toward valuable solutions for the business stakeholders
  • Gain practical, working knowledge of ways business users leverage historical data to understand trends and answer questions
  • Participate in design sessions in prototyping new systems and features to enhance business processes, operations, and information process flow
  • Make recommendations to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of existing reporting capabilities
  • Collaborate in the planning, design, testing, and deployment of new system capabilities and end user functionality
  • Prepare and deliver reports, recommendations, or alternatives that provide solutions to existing business challenges
  • Create process flows, specifications, diagrams, and charts to guide ETS teams toward valuable solutions for the business stakeholders
  • Partner with internal business constituents to facilitate, implement, and support processes and controls that increase overall efficiencies and decrease applicable risks to the enterprise

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5+ years of experience in business analysis and gathering requirements for software and process improvement implementations
  • 3 years of experience supporting application software or IT implementations
  • 2 years of experience preparing technical documents and topics to business stakeholders
  • Experience with data mapping is required

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience with core business processes across various functions, including, but not limited to, ITSM, Finance, Accounting, HR, or CRM
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to be persuasive, encouraging, and foster team work to complete a common objective
  • Ability to be flexible while delivering assignments with an understanding that deliverables may change to align with business needs
  • Certification with Six Sigma, Lean or other process improvement methodologies
  • Experience leading teams utilizing project management standards including agile methodologies
  • Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language
  • Experience documenting business process flows using Microsoft Visio, PowerPoint or similar applications
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Be highly self-motivated, self-directed, and results-driven
  • Capable of working independently
  • Ability to receive the goals and objectives of the organization and develop an action plan through process design to achieve them
  • Excellent listening, interpersonal, and nonverbal skills including a strong customer service orientation
  • Keen attention to detail demonstrated in written work
  • Data science experience is a huge plus, including some data mapping

EDUCATION & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelors or foreign equivalent degree in computer science, engineering, business or a related technical or business field
  • ITSM experience, Service Now and case management is strongly suggested
