It's an exciting time to join our team, and we're hiring for a Senior Director of Business Development. This role is responsible for developing sales strategies, meeting sales forecasts, and supporting and increasing revenue with existing customers, generating business with new customers, primary commercial contact for certain accounts, and leading and upholding Isometric's Core Competencies and Continuous Improvement.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Identify, qualify, prepare, and execute effective sales and pricing strategies to maintain the existing base of business and support the close of new business revenue and customers.
- Represent Isometric at trade shows and public speaking engagements.
- Serve as customer's commercial point-of-contact before and after receipt of a purchase order. Once a PO is received, the Director will partner with sales and Project Engineering to support the customer with the Project Engineer serving as a project point-of-contact.
- Implement creative/customized solutions that meet customer expectations.
- Maintain customer accounts by building and establishing relationships and providing prompt (<24 hours) follow-up on customer questions and new application inquiries to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
- Support customer NDA's, Indemnification Agreements, Master Supply Agreements, and other contractual agreements as required.
- Engage clients in innovation discussions to drive opportunity for early adoption of micro molding and associated new technologies by negotiating and closing deals that support the business development needs of the customer.
- Leverage deep product and process knowledge to create and deliver unique marketable and salable solutions across multiple market segments
- Gain understanding of customer needs through research and direct, open-ended questions and other means of communication with target customers
- Create and deliver compelling sales presentations
- Work closely with estimators to prepare and present proposals and quotations, negotiate pricing, and effectively differentiate product offerings
- Work closely with Sales and Project Engineers on the projects and to strategically align internal and external communications
- Travel to Isometric, customers, potential customers and trade shows/conferences
- Demonstrate leadership of Isometric core competencies
Education, Experience and Abilities:
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or related field
- Minimum of 10 years experience in injection molding for medical device and/or pharma industry
- Expert knowledge of sales and marketing management business acumen principles, best practices and value pricing knowledge
- Influential, high level of verbal and written communication skills, including negotiation and presentation skills
- Dynamic, innovative, proactive, and strategic professional with strong leadership skills, motivation and tenacity
- Broad knowledge of resins and other materials
- Broad knowledge of precision manufacturing
- Experience in injection molding
- Experience with injection mold tooling and how they are designed
- Experience with reading and understanding part drawings
- Understanding of 3D CAD software
- Understanding of ISO13485 and ITAR and their requirements
- High level of integrity and ethics that aligns with Isometric Core Values
- Ability to handle sensitive and proprietary information with discretion and confidentiality
- Intermediate level proficiency with MS Office Suites
Work Location and Travel:
- This position can work from a home office or in the New Richmond, WI facilities. Travel expectations are 25-50% with heavier travel schedules in spring and fall for tradeshows. As needed trips to Isometric facilities are required to support customer visits, audits, annual events, internal meetings, and other events as assigned. In addition, domestic and global travel to customer locations and tradeshows.
