PURPOSE

The Sr. Product Marketing Manager is responsible for the global strategic marketing activities related to their assigned probe card products, works with the account teams for assigned accounts in Taiwan and SEA and provides marketing leadership to the product groups. This position regularly interacts with account teams, product marketing, manufacturing operations, service teams, and senior management and executives by leading the customer engagements for the business unit.
This role will understand our Taiwanese and SEA customers' test challenges and will work closely with customers to position our products to provide solutions to their test challenges using FormFactor products and technology. They will understand the product(s) value proposition and differentiation claims and how to apply FFI value in competitive situations in assigned customers and markets. They will set market requirements, manage product roadmaps, project priorities and trade-offs as necessary, and provide resources allocation for those assigned products. The Manager also works with the account teams for their assigned customers in Taiwan and SEA to maximize profit and market share. This includes updating competitive situations and threats, communicating customer's requirements and providing input to the account strategy.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Conduct market research to identify market/customer trends.
  • Create and publish customer specific Value Proposition statements that clearly articulate product and company differentiation - utilize Value Proposition from Product Marketing Manager.
  • Negotiate customer specific pricing and VPAs that maximize company profits.
  • Develop target and key account positioning strategies in support of sales activities.
  • Develop and articulate fact-based and current competitive intelligence that includes product and financial positioning.
  • Develop sales training material that enables the account teams to clearly communicate FFIs value and product positioning.
  • Support the Product Marketing Manager in creating sales and product collateral and supporting the go-to-market success of new product launches in the accounts owned by the Manager.
  • Use negotiation skills to close gaps between customer requirements and factory capabilities
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations explaining products or services to customers and prospective customers.
  • Report customer specific TAM and FFI market share quarterly, including key competitors market share.



EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED


  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or other technical degree is required. In addition, an MBA or business degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in engineering, applications, product marketing and/or product development.
  • Must have 5+ years of experience in a customer facing role in the semiconductor industry. Must have solid knowledge of the semiconductor manufacturing and test process.
  • Technical understanding and experience in high-speed digital or RF applications and theory is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills with fluency in both English and Mandarin.
  • Must have the ability to travel for business as much as 50% of the time both domestically and internationally to customer sites, subsidiary offices, and appropriate sales or marketing events. Most travel will be to Taiwan. If outside of California, there will be additional travel to our Livermore factory.


The base salary pay range for this role in Livermore, CA is between $163,400 and $195,410. The pay range may differ in other locations. FormFactor maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in education, training, skills, relevant work experience, business needs and market demands. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
