Molex's TIS (Transportation and Innovative Solutions) business unit is a segment within Molex that specializes in providing connectivity solutions and technologies tailored for the transportation and industrial sectors. This unit focuses on developing and delivering a wide array of products and solutions that cater to the specific needs of these industries. These solutions often involve connectors, cables, components, and integrated systems that address connectivity, data transmission, and control system requirements in transportation (such as automotive and commercial vehicles) and various industrial applications.

We are currently seeking a motivated Automation Project Engineer to join our Lincoln Automation Team. This role works in an innovative and globally collaborative team based out of Molex's Lincoln Nebraska manufacturing facility. You will develop and quote advanced assembly processes across our transportation solutions division in this role. The successful candidate will be looking for growth and be a self-starter.

What You Will Do

Deliver cost-effective production equipment to manufacturing sites

  • Help us provide solutions that give Molex a competitive edge.
  • Work with production facilities to understand needs.
  • Work with internal and external vendors to provide equipment.
  • Ensure machines meet all requirements.
  • Help develop machine specification documents.
  • Lead automation projects as a technical project manager.

Innovate processes

  • Research, develop, and deploy new technologies that set us apart.
  • Collaborate with our global automation and manufacturing teams.

Who You Are

  • Experience managing projects.
  • Availability for 20-30% Travel Domestically and Internationally
  • Associate degree or similar program / certifications
  • 5 years or more working with high-speed automation
