Georgia-Pacific is seeking a Reliability Engineer to join our plywood mill in Dudley, NC. The Reliability Engineer will be responsible for continuously looking for opportunities to increase reliability and uptime, striving for 100% in assigned areas. This position requires a highly motived individual who enjoys working in a multi-faceted environment. The individual will be expected to support Operational and Maintenance personnel while adhering to a safe and environmentally responsible work environment.
This position will require team skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate should also have a strong sense of personal drive, a desire to develop expertise, and the ability to work without constant supervision. This position will also be expected to provide technical and engineering support and troubleshooting advice to maintenance and various operational areas. What You Will Do In Your Role * Lead the Reliability efforts for the site * Participate and support in all areas to achieve Environmental, Health, & Safety excellence * Directly supervise the Lubricators, RCM Technician and Fluid Power Technician * Work with the Maintenance Supervisor to drive the practice of Precision Maintenance in all jobs completed at the site * Integrate best maintenance technologies and practices into predictive, preventive, and condition-based maintenance programs. * Drive site lubrication and fluid power programs to success. * Participate and lead Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) efforts to identify root causes of complex and/or repetitive problems and put in place executable corrective actions. * Serve as Site Champion for all Asset Health Monitoring Systems and ensure systems are operated at desired levels. * Analyze operational KPIs to identify gaps and areas of potential improvement. * Work with planners and supervisors to evaluate area planned maintenances for regeneration times and validity * Work with Leaders and Engineers to share knowledge and gain expertise in development of reliability strategies. * Actively participate in design and implementation of Asset Improvement Strategies for systems to improve production and uptime. * Apply sound logic and scientific principles to problem solving. * Effectively manage multiple priorities and customers simultaneously. * Work both individually with little supervision and together with a team to achieve profitable results. The Experience You Will Bring Requirements: * Reliability or mechanical integrity experience in a manufacturing/industrial or military environment * Experience with Reliability Improvement tools (Root Cause Failure Analysis, preventative/predictive maintenance, KPIs) * Experience using Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook What Will Put You Ahead * Plywood industry experience * Vibration training/qualifications * Certification or continued education in reliability applications, practices, and management * CMRP Certification * Experience managing a site mechanical integrity inspection program * Six Sigma experience or certification At Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
