The Project Manager will be responsible for collaborating, organizing and executing all the activities that will deliver both Capital investments and small projects improvement opportunities. This includes design, construction/installation, commissioning, startup, and documentation activities. The Project Manager provides the detailed technical documents for material and equipment procurement, fabrication, and construction/installation. This role will also plan and schedule the project work, coordinate procurement of materials and services from company-approved suppliers, track timing and cost, manage the construction/installation group, and communicate project expectations and progress. The Project Manager also focuses on Contractor Compliance; maintains plant records and engineering drawings for the facility along with the outage work processes. Our Team The Georgia-Pacific Gypsum facility in Antioch, CA produces a variety of gypsum wallboard products. To learn more about our gypsum products, visit www.gpgypsum.com What You Will Do * Manage the development and execution of capital and expense projects from conceptional state to completion. * Collaborate with key personnel both inside and outside the plant to ensure project goals/bets (safety, production, quality, cost reduction, etc.) are identified and achieved. * Manages and develops relationships with project-equipment supplier(s) and contractor(s). Communication / Cooperation with internal and external resources to respond to project questions and requests, resolve scheduling conflicts, and escalate issues as needed. * Provide regular communications and feedback to the team of overall status, critical issues, milestones, EcoSys project development, and necessary resources to support the overall project plan. * Ensure reliability has all necessary information for new equipment so an asset strategy can be established. * Tenacious effective problem-solver, applying data-based critical thinking to make decisions. * Use of Microsoft Office suite as well as effective oral and communication skills. * Develop project scope with input from other divisional resources, engineers, production, and maintenance staff. * Review contractor deliverables, quality and resolve technical issues during scope development, design, and construction. * Ensure projects are executed in a safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible manner. * Utilize systems to measure and control project progress against schedule and cost. * Ensure contractor alignment with the company safety processes and risk tolerance. * Familiarity with performance measures and maintenance requirements of equipment. * Work closely with Division resources and others with project development activities, planning and sourcing of all needed resources. * Support the plant manager and the plant leadership team as required to achieve operational goals (safety, environmental, production, OEE, NIAT, etc.) Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) * A minimum of three (3) years of experience in project development and execution. * Good working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Teams) * Ability to learn new systems expeditiously. * Must be able and willing to work in an industrial manufacturing plant environment, including extended periods of time in noisy, dusty, non-air conditioned or unheated areas. * Must be able and willing to work safely, including wearing and using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) * Able to travel approximately 10% - 20% for training, to provide technical assistance to other plants, and to support division-wide projects and initiatives. What Will Put You Ahead * Bachelor's degree in Engineering or technical field * 5+ years of project management experience * A minimum of 2 years of experience in planning and scheduling plant outages * Working knowledge of the gypsum wallboard processes * Experience with practical application of PSM requirements, including Management of Change, and Pre-Startup Safety Review * Proficient in the use of AutoCAD, SolidWorks, MS Project are a plus. * Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) For this role, we anticipate paying $120k - $140k per year.
