Stony Brook University: Health Sciences: Renaissance School of Medicine: Internal Medicine: Cardiology Location Stony Brook, New York Open Date Aug 06, 2024 Deadline Feb 06, 2025 at 11:59 PM Eastern Time Description The Division of Cardiology at the Heart Institute at Stony Brook University Hospital is recruiting an ascending or senior Cardiovascular Physician Scientist / Scientist with a promising research program to join its Cardiology Division at the Associate Professor or Professor level. The final rank, tenure status and salary will be commensurate with experience. Key Responsibilities: The successful candidate will have a PhD, MD, MD/PhD, DO, or DO/PhD.

Qualifications PHYSICIAN SCIENTIST: Required Qualifications: MD, DO, MD/PhD (or foreign equivalent). Board Certified in Internal Medicine. Board Certified/Eligible in Cardiology. Experience in clinical care and clinical, translational or basic research in the field of cardiology. Will be responsible for research, patient care and teaching. Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrated publication and active funding track record in clinical, translational, and/or basic research is preferred. The ideal candidate will have exhibited a strong commitment to advancing scientific knowledge of the field of cardiology, as well as demonstrate a strong commitment to clinical, educational, and academic excellence.
