Summary: The Operating Room Nurse Manager will be responsible for the staff and resources of 16 Operating Rooms and will assist with the development and monitoring of the quality and standards pertaining to the Operating Room. The Operating Room Nurse manager will also manage the daily patient care activities of the Operating Room and supporting units. Assures efficient utilization of OR resources by proactively managing the schedule in collaboration with anesthesiology and surgeons. The OR Manager oversees all operating room staff (Surgical Techs, Sterile Processing, Nursing Support Team and all RN staff) Nurse managers are also responsible for managing human and financial resources; ensuring patient and staff satisfaction; maintaining a safe environment for staff, patients, and visitors; ensuring standards and quality of care are maintained; and aligning the unit's goals with the hospital's strategic goals. Qualifications Credentials:
Education: Associate Degree in Nursing Experience: Previous Nurse leadership experience in the operating room preferred. 3-5 years clinical experience in the OR and approximately 2 yrs nursing leadership (supervising, team lead, and/or charge nurse) is preferred.
