This is a manager level role reporting to the Lipper Head of Research. The successful candidate will be encouraged to act as the subject matter expert for U.S. fund market research spanning mutual funds, closed-end funds (CEFs), exchange-traded funds (ETFs), hedge funds, domestic retirement funds, pension funds and insurance products. This individual will be responsible for the development of thought leadership content, lead all aspects of the creation and refinement of research methodologies, and maintain and expand relationships with clients, journalists, and other key stakeholders. This role requires a deep understanding of the U.S. fund market, outstanding analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively. Key Responsibilities
Thorough understanding of the mutual fund business, including portfolio construction, pooled investment analytics, performance, fund flows and expenses, distribution channels, and major trends. A strong background in equity and fixed income markets. A proven foundation in technical analysis, fundamental analysis, and basic use of derivatives. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas during client presentations, conferences, and media interviews. Familiarity with Lipper classifications and industry applications, such as Lipper for Investment Management, Global Fund Flows, and LSEG Workspace. Proficiency in research tools, data analysis software, and Microsoft Office Suite. Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business administration, mathematics, or related field. Advanced degree in related field and/or progress toward CFA designation or equivalent experience is helpful. LSEG is a leading global financial markets infrastructure and data provider.
