International Financing Review (IFR), the world's leading source of global capital markets intelligence, is seeking a Senior Copy Editor to edit Americas debt and equity coverage in the very active New York bureau.

The Editor will be required to shape and factcheck spot news and longer features and manage and polish editorial content, including charts and graphs, for the weekly magazine and real-time IFRe.com.

We are looking for a flexible Editor with strong interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will have a deep knowledge of the capital markets, a strong track-record editing news on deadline and a passion for accuracy. They will be able to help reporters explain complicated events and ideas in clear and concise language.

Day to day responsibilities:

  • Ensure copy meets IFR style and quality standards

  • Edit copy from the team, help process assigned stories

  • Assist the debt and equity editors in day-to-day tasks and assignments

Qualifications:

  • At least five years of experience editing financial journalism is required

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to think analytically and write with flair

  • Experience with managing a file, pushing reporters and developing stories

Compensation/Benefits Information (New York applicants only):

LSEG is committed to offering competitive Compensation and Benefits. The anticipated base salary for this position is $109,800 - $204,000. Please be aware base salary ranges may vary by geographic location, city and state. In addition to our offered base salary, this role is eligible for our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP/"bonus plan"). Target AIP rates will be commensurate with role level and posted career stage. Individual salary will be reflective of job related knowledge, skills and equivalent experience. LSEG roles (excluding internships and part-time roles of less than 20 hours per week) are typically eligible for inclusion in our LSEG Benefits program, which includes offerings of: Annual Wellness Allowance, Paid time-off, Medical, Dental, Vision, Flex Spending & Health Savings Options, Prescription Drug plan, 401(K) Savings Plan and Company match.
