Job Description: Ryan Companies is looking for an organized, innovative, collaborative and forward-thinking Regional Director of Architecture to join our Southeast team! The ideal candidate will be able to set the direction and provide thought leadership for the southeast region, working both as part of a collaborative team and independently. Responsible for staff development including leading, managing and mentoring staff. Works with Development and Construction on all aspects of Business development including leading proposal efforts and project interviews. Responsible for successfully collaborating and working within a matrix organization with the design sector leaders to ensure we are matching regional expertise with sector expertise to provide our clients with the ultimate solution. In addition, teaming with the sector leaders to generate work in the region. Works with the team to design responsibly with a focus on sustainability and well-being. Develops strategies to enhance surrounding community and be a positive impact in the context of the immediate project. Responsible for achieving yearly profit expectations in collaboration with Sector Leaders. Monitors and manages monthly financial reports. Responsible for strategic Regional Initiatives in conjunction with A+E Leadership, Region and Division. Actively participates in leadership meetings, department meetings and quarterly owner meetings. Regional responsibility, performs the following Regional responsibilities in partnership with A+E Leadership, Sector Leaders and Department Leaders: Partner with the Regional President, VP of Operations and developers to champion regional goal, communicate financial status, coordinate future pipeline, help enhance business development where needed, and serve alongside the critical leaders in the region to ensure a great culture. Sets the vision for the Regional design team. Leads the design team within the Region including all professional and business activities. Develops and maintains relationships with Development, Construction and third-party customers. Leads growth of the region in support of Ryan Companies' and Ryan A+E's 5-year vision and initiatives. Project Delivery, in collaboration with key partners and team members, confirm that each project has an effective project delivery approach: Ensure appropriate internal staff and consultant resources are identified, selected, contracts negotiated, and workload managed in a timely manner for each phase of the project. Ensure approvals are in place and documented for each design phase, including owner, AHJ approvals and company approvals such as Owner Authorization to Proceed. Ensure project internal reviews and coordination are occurring (QA/QC, VDC, Specifications, cross-discipline). Ensure Design Project Management Checklist is being followed and completed for all projects and phases. Ensure successful design meetings, owner/client meetings and project team meetings are occurring. Ensure project teams are clearly documenting and communicating scope and design decisions. Ensure an effective, appropriate and reasonable design schedule is developed. Design schedule to be communicated, monitored and adjusted appropriately for each design phase. Ensure that deliverables are identified, agreed upon and executed for each phase in accordance with the overall project schedule. Responsible for signing/sealing drawings and specifications. Manages financial health of project monthly. Ensure revenue and expense contracts are in place at start of the project. Manages monthly revenue and expense invoicing. Performs tasks with a high level of collaboration and sets an example for others to follow. Establishes and purses annual goals; based on personal, professional and company growth in the industry. Contributes to Ryan culture through participation in office activities, initiatives and learning programs. Responsible for execution of Ryan's yearly review and goal setting process based on personal and professional development goals. Actively participates in Ryan Companies' and Ryan A+E's 5-year vision/initiatives and 1-year business plans and goals.
To be successful in this role, you must have:
Professional Architecture degree; B Arch or M Arch required. Relevant professional work experience with a proven track record of managing multiple projects, including complex projects, managing a large to mid-sized team, and managing a large P+L. Strong local connections to the design community are a must. A proven track record of leading client presentations and relationships as well as a history of working with local municipalities through entitlement and the code process are highly preferred. Licensure required. Excellent sales and presentation skills. Proven ability to work with contracts and budgets as well as ensure quality drawings are being produced by the design team. Excellent understanding of development, construction, design, workload and resource management. Proven ability to collaborate with a diverse team. Strong knowledge of Excel, Procore, Deltek and other project management software preferred. Revit and Blue Beam knowledge preferred. LEED AP, WELL Accredited Professional and/or PMP Certification preferred. Expertise in either/or the Healthcare, Senior Living or Multifamily sector is preferred.

Compensation: The annual salary range is $125,700 - $157,100 per year . The salary may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission and/or an incentive program. Benefits:
