45975 Technician (Open) Location: Seattle, WA (RDA) - Welding equipment rental How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW? Airga Red-D-Arc is hiring an Equipment Repair Technician for our Tukwila, WA Branch! You will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing Welder, Generators and diesel engines just to name a few. No experience required with this type of equipment but must have a minimum of 6 months experience with mechanical repairs. The working days and hours for this position are Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 4:30pm. What equipment will you be repairing and working on? This would include, but not be limited to: a- MIG, TIG, and STICK Welders a- Diesel & Natural Gas Generators a- Wire Feeders a- Welding Positioners a- And other Welding related equipment! Preferred Qualifications/Experience: a- 1+ years of experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical equipment. a- 1+ years of experience troubleshooting and repairing Diesel/Natural Gas engines. a- High School Diploma. GED and/or Technical School a- Must have a valid Driveras License. Essential Duties: a- Ensures a safe work environment by following Airgas/Red-D-Arcas health and safety guidelines. a- Repairs, refurbishes, and conducts preventative maintenance on all Electric and Engine Drives. a- Assembles electric, diesel, gas, and propane equipment for rental. Tests and calibrates machines to see if they are functional for rent or sale. a- Operates a forklift, pallet jack or other necessary equipment to stock required parts in the shop. a- Prepares and completes paperwork for all machine repairs. a- Occasionally required to service equipment and customers off-site. a- Assists with parts and equipment inventories, as well as rental agreement paperwork. a- Arranges freight and transportation. a- Maintains communication with all branch personnel. Required Knowledge/Skills: a- Computer literacy a- Ability to make critical decisions while following company procedures. a- Ability to effectively build relationships with customers and co-workers. a- Adaptable to set and prioritize work with varying exceptions. a- Ability to work with a wide variety of people with different personalities and backgrounds. a- Communicates with clarity, verbally in one on one or group situations, and over the telephone.
